Manifestation of Miracle of Praise And Power At RCCG Parish
The atmosphere was electric with high vibes of praise, worship and rendition of assorted Christian songs as the Redeemed Miracle Parish, Ojodu, under the RCCG Lagos Province 57 hosted members, visitors and prominent music ministers at its “Evening of Praise and Power” program.
Among the gospel artistes featured at the event are: EBEN, Pastor Sope Adenuga, Deacon Ige Idowu and Dr. Lugard Ebighe, a highly revered optometrist. The roof was literally brought down with spirit filed religious renditions, varied dance steps in an atmosphere of worship and praise.
In his welcome note, the minister in charge of the Youth and Young Adults of RCCG LP 57, Pastor Olusesi Kehinde reiterated the benefits of worship and praise, among which are to attract the full presence of God and also bring about miracles and wonders.
The Parish Pastor of the host church, Godfrey Iluobe in his short exhortation, taken from the book of Psalm 67: 3-7, described David, who is also known as the Psalmist as a good example of someone who knows the power in praise and worship, and use both to the maximum. He urged all present to imbibe the spirit of making praise their first step in everything, as the Psalmist make us understand that if people praise the Lord, the earth will yield in increase. ‘When we connect ourselves with praise and worship, refreshing miracle and victory will follow”, Iluobe emphasized.
He also said that an environment where praise dominates, evil spirit flees, making reference to the book of 1Samuel 16:23 to buttress his point. It is a story of how evil spirit tormented King Saul, and David was invited to worship God with harp, an instrument of praise. Saul became refreshed and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. Iluobe concluded that freedom and upliftment also comes through praise, just like the imprisoned disciples of Jesus – Paul and Silas were left off the bondage of the Roman prison when they sang praises unto God, as revealed in the book of Acts chapter sixteen.
At the end of the ministration, altar call was made and the new converts were prayed for and counseled. The pastorate thereafter promised that the program will be a regular event going forward.
